Price of Fuel in Kenya Today

Price of fuel in Kenya is regulated by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA). The body reviews the prices of the commodity on the 14th-15th of every month. This includes the maximum retail prices for Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene that petroleum marketers in the country are required to use.

The marketers are allowed to sell fuel below the set prices but are not allowed to exceed them. Note however that the body does not regulate the prices of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG).

Below is a list of the latest retail fuel prices as set by EPRA for the major cities in Kenya for the period 15th April 2024 to 14th May 2024.

July 1st 2023 – July 15th 2023 (16% VAT Tax Review)

On 1st July 2023, EPRA released new maximum fuel prices after VAT on Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene was increased to 16% up from 8% in accordance with the Finance Act 2023.
